Tri-County RSVP provides Medicare Assistance

Tri-County RSVP provides Medicare assistance and advocacy throughout the year, but especially during Medicare Open Enrollment (October 15th through December 7th) Volunteers and staff serve by assisting Medicare beneficiaries (both aged and disabled in:

• Applying for federal Low-Income subsidy and the Arkansas Medicare Savings Programs
• Choosing Medicare Part D prescription drug plans or Medicare Part C advantage plan
• Counseling new Medicare beneficiaries about coverage and gaps
• Educating Medicare beneficiaries about current scams and Medicare fraud prevention

In partnership with the Arkansas Insurance Department, Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIP), RSVP volunteers receive annual training and certification. Volunteers also receive and share information from the Arkansas Senior Medicare Program regarding the latest Medicare scams.
